How much does stump grinding cost in DFW?
Stump grinding in Dallas-Fort Worth averages about $4.50 per inch of stump diameter with a $125 minimum, so most single stumps run $90 to $250. We publish the exact price on our calculator and let you book online.
Do you remove the stump or just grind it?
We grind it 4 to 6 inches below grade so grass grows back and the tree will not resprout. Grinding is faster and cheaper than digging out the whole root ball, which is rarely needed.
How deep do you grind?
Standard is 4 to 6 inches below the surface, enough for sod, seed, or a garden bed. If you are planting a new tree or pouring concrete in the same spot, we grind deeper on request.
Can I really pay for stump grinding online?
Yes. Standard stumps up to about 36 inches and up to four stumps are priced instantly and paid through secure Stripe checkout. Larger or hazardous jobs get a fast free quote instead.
How much does tree removal cost?

Do you handle emergency and storm damage?

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
Sometimes. Fort Worth requires a permit for trees over 8 inches in diameter in development zones, and Plano, Frisco, McKinney and many HOAs have their own tree ordinances. Stump grinding rarely needs a permit. We help you check before scheduling.
What happens to the wood chips?
By default the grindings stay on-site as free mulch. If you would rather have them gone, add chip haul-away for $65 and we take them with us.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance and cleanup is included on every job. Proof of insurance is available on request before work begins.
How soon can you come out?
Most stump jobs are scheduled within 3 to 5 days. North Texas has steady year-round demand, so timing stays consistent. Emergency tree work is prioritized.
